Privacy
The short version: this site collects nothing unless you type it into the newsletter box, and the fonts are served from our own server rather than someone else’s.
What this site collects
Nothing, by default. There are no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics scripts and no cookies set by this site. Typefaces, stylesheets, scripts and images are all served from thetreatmenttapes.com, so loading a page does not tell any other company that you were here.
If you subscribe to the letter
We store your email address, which page you subscribed from, the IP address the request came from, and the dates you subscribed, confirmed and (if you do) unsubscribed. We also keep, for each issue, whether it was sent to you and when, so that an issue is never sent to you twice. The IP address is kept only so that a flood of fake signups can be told from real ones; it is never used to work out who you are or where you live. Nothing else is stored, and the list is never linked to any medical record.
Subscribing is confirmed twice: you enter your address, and nothing is sent until you click the link in the confirmation email. Until you click it, the address sits unconfirmed and receives no newsletter.
We do not sell, rent or share the list, and there is no tracking pixel in the email — we cannot tell whether you opened an issue, and we prefer it that way. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click and is honoured immediately.
The list is held by Tell a Tonic Productions, LLC on servers in the United States, run by the same people who run TeleTonicMD. It lives in its own tables, holds no medical records and is never joined to one. The two mailing lists are never crossed either: subscribing here does not put you on the clinic's list, and subscribing there does not put you on this one.
Server logs
Our web host keeps standard server logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser user agent — for security and troubleshooting. These are retained for a limited period and are not used to build a profile of you.
Audio and video players
Audio embedded on this site is served directly from thetreatmenttapes.com. If you follow a link to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube or any other platform, you are on their service and subject to their privacy policy, which we do not control.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to contact@thetreatmenttapes.com and we will act on it.
Health information
This site is not a healthcare service and is not a covered entity under HIPAA. Please do not send us medical information; if you are looking for clinical care, TeleTonicMD handles that under its own privacy and HIPAA policies.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
